www.familyfun.com.  Great things that families can do together: including neat school ideas, cooking,
vacation ideas, computer stuff.  They promote their magazine and I read it today, it was good.  This site is worth taking a look at, especially with two chairs at the computer. One for you and one for your child.

www.Disney.com  Fun site with excellent links to other family sites.  Heavy Disney promotion but who can get down on Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

www.doityourself.com.  Do it your self tip #1.  When installing the anniversary microwave turn off the electrical power prior to messing with the old outlet.  Another great do it yourself hardcover reference is the book you can purchase at the Home Depot titled "Home Improvement 1-2-3"  ( It has lots of pictures )

www.dpsv.state.mn.us  This is the Minnesota Department of Public Service and the Energy Information Center.  There is a ton of really great information for homeowners, realtors and builders at this site and also in their Housewarming Guides..  If for no other reason go to this site and read the article on carbon monoxide and then go buy a detector for your home.  They are quite inexpensive and could save your life.  This department produces and distributes the series of Housewarming Guides on heating, cooling, new home building codes, landscaping, water heaters, electrical, appliances, attic bypasses, caulking, moisture problems and corrective measures, windows and doors, carbon monoxide and more. The Internet also has negativity and smut and can be a dangerous place for a child to be roaming around.  There are a number of web sites devoted to helping  us help children be appropriate and safe on the Internet.  Check out www.smartparent.com if you have a youngster on the computer.
